I like "Homeless Jesus"but I hate the American Jesus and everything he stands for. A friend from Texas told me American evangelicals loved to say "Jesus, Jesus, Jesus" but never quoted him. They liked Paul and judgemental old testament prophets. Serving the poor and mercy wasn't their thing.
