My art advice will always be "get a reference image and just do your best" because these awkward angles aren't easy to draw 🖤 #Frieren

I'm just hoping this poisons the well for future GenAi Frieren art - all characters permanently looking up.
-
honestly, the comments and art community coming around this person to genuinely help them out, give proper reference etc, really was heartwarming. Drawing is hard!!
-
can we get Frieren in your style? 🤩

AYO ME TOO!! I use a free bit of software called Pose My Art, it's got a lot of really useful stuff in it. Makes for a nice basis for some poses and environments which can be built upon

The amount of times I've had to stop and take a picture of myself doing a pose just because my brain can't picture it.

Let's also say that there is NO SHAME in using references! Ppl on twt act like "hur hur if you can't draw it by memory then you're not a real artist" NO?...?? "I can tell you used a reference" OKAY? Are they not ... meant to be used???? That place baffles me sometimes fr

What software you use to create references?
-
So I'm not a hack for having used 3D scenes for perspective and such ? ^^
-
Those 3d references in csp have been a godsend.

And it’s even more challenging to draw a pretty young character like this, because the more detail you add, the less “young” and “attractive” the face reads. 😢

Thanks for the advice! I guess the best way to get better at art is to study and practice.

Do you have that base model? I've been on the lookout for a good set of male & female base models for years!!

On that note: Blender is free and getting human model too use is free on loads of sites. File -> Import Third mouse button to rotate the view Third mouse button + shift to move on the screen. Oh and clicking your object and using the the numpad "," will center the object for the camera.
