Now do Texas.
-
Yes!!!
-
I mean...it's Louisiana.. everything there has the sole purpose of hurting black people.
-
-
Victory for the good guys!
-
A court critical of gerrymandering, I’m shocked!
-
Meaningless I'm afraid. I've seen this before. They'll appeal to the Supreme Court who will okay it OR they'll just re-submit another terrible map, and repeat.
-
SCOTUS: Well, we’ll just see about that!
-
-
Now do Ohio.
-
No worries, corrupt SCOTUS will squash it...
-
Pray SCOTUS (Trump 6) doesn’t undo all of this in October!
-
👍🏽
-
Bravo!
-
Good!
-
Will Louisiana just tell the courts to fuck off like Trump does?
-
The question is will they comply??
-
👏
-
But what does the Dumbass-in-Chief think?
-
Yeeeees
-
That'd be the Fifth Circuit, which is notoriously far to the right of even the US Supreme Court.
-
-
Good
-
Wow, I bet EVERYONE with Half a Brain could see that. I’m betting that the ROBERTS COURT (the one that actually said Racism DOESN’T exist anymore 🤬), will find a way to say it’s not racist.
-
Now, will SCOTUS agree or overrule? www.democracydocket.com/news-alerts/...

Thank you

-
Yea!!!
-
Thank you to ACLU. Also thank you to Marc Elias.
-
Exactly 🎯
-
I am actually shocked.
In a good way!
The law is the lay of the land. Still.
Encouraging; thank you.
-
Yo for the love of anything please post a freaking article or something when you announce stuff like this, and make sure it’s free or a gift article
Appeals panel declines Louisiana’s invitation to gut Voting Rights Act
A federal appeals court panel declined Louisiana’s invitation to gut a key provision of the Voting Rights Act (VRA) that has required the state to draw additional majority-minority districts, rulin…
-
Wait untill SCOTUS gets it's say on the matter.
-
Good news
-
So why is Texas even trying what will Get struck down?
-
Of fucking course they do they were one of the states that fought to own slaves.
-
Will they appeal it to the Supreme Court? If they do I fear they will lose.
-
Tired of my Blue State tax dollars propping up Red State racism! share.google/Ds8S6iJTyT43...
Louisiana among the top states dependent on federal money
As the United States faces a crucial decision concerning the future of its budget and debt ceiling, it is important to consider how this could affect individuals and state governments.
-
How many times has Alabama been told to fix their map..and still haven't done it? Hollow victory
-
Outstanding
-
Unfortunately, SCOTUS is still in a position to change voting rights enforcement forever and trending in that direction for a while.
-
Now they need to do Texas.
-
Oh my, what will happen to Little Mikie Johnson’s district?
-
Way to go ACLU! Man we love you
-
Now to find someone with a pair big enough to enforce another ruling...Good luck with that, since there is nobody left in the former HOME OF THE BRAVE!!!
-
Great job thank you
-
That will be appealed and, depending on whether they get a MAGAt judge, likely overturned and blocked.
We're losing democracy.
-
Yaaay! 👏
-
👍💯
-
💪🏻
-
Make everyone’s vote count!
-
Outstanding!!!!!!!!!
-
Awesome!

Is this 5th circuit? If so this is extraordinary. 5th is maybe the most conservative districts in America.
-
The redrawing of the maps is the first step in how we take our democracy back. LFG!
-
Reversed, per curiam. Dilute all you want, Louisiana.
-
✔️
-
Black voters in Louisiana will finally be heard!🗳️
⚠️ BUT—we must stay vigilant & loud to ensure they truly give us fair maps—drawn by an independent, nonpartisan commission, free of party influence.

-
Very concerned the supremes will just overturn that ruling, as they do.
-
Sorry I misunderstood this message.
-
😡😡 for this Courts ruling!!
-
Appeal to the SCOTUS, ruling will come back no standing, each individual black voter needs to sue to remain in desired district. Those individuals case judgements will be singular and not apply to any other similar case. Class action not permitted.
-
Someone doing their job. Refreshing these days.
-
LA will drag their feet until it is too late to correct the map before 2026. We saw this happen previously in AL. Then John Roberts will find some way to allow them to weasel out of it after the 2026 election.
-
LFG!!
-
Mhm, sure. 😒🙄🤷🏼♀️
-
But will SCOTUS support this on appeal?
-
Thank you for your continued fight for the people!
-
Thank you, for all of your work for the people!
-
Just like AL, but we’ve still got the offending map.
-
Haven’t the courts been ordering this proposal killed & redrawn several times already? Time to arrest & cage some non-law abiding criminal MAGAts.
-
Nope!
-
I’m sure the Christian Nationalist racists on the Supreme Court will overturn this in the shadow docket. If they do offer some comment, it will be Alito conjuring up some obscure 9th Century Latin literary bullshit.
-
Congratulations
-
Awesome
-
This is not the ruling some of us expected for this case. So pleased for once to be wrong!🤗
-
And Republicans claim their gerrymandering isn’t racist!
-
I bet it doesn't happen. Here in Ohio our supreme Court of Ohio has declared that the GOP has gerrymandered the districts. The gop's response was we're not doing anything about it. And their votes stood in the last election
-
Yes, which then is appealed to SCOTUS who rules that Republicans can kill their political opponents at will and consume their flesh for the life force.
We know how this is going to turn out. How about you post about your strategy for that?
-
Great job!!
-
A miracle
-
Thank you ACLU!
-
Hallelujah Hallelujah
-
Voter Purge is coming
-
Umm. Hasn’t this been the outcome several times and LA refuses to redraw the correct districts?
-
Maybe, Louisiana will finally get actual representation, instead of creepy campaign-finance-fraudsters who use false Christianity to disguise the evil they commit. Maybe, their representation might even choose to serve the people of Louisiana, rather than to line their pockets with donor money.
-
Great news!
-
@princessmom122.bsky.social some good news
-
Now do Texas
-
But Louisiana will appeal to the Supreme Court, which will stay the lower court ruling until they hear arguments, which they'll schedule for January, with a decision in June, which will be too late to allow districts to be re-drawn for primaries and the general...
-
Yess!
-
Thank you for this victory. The fight continues on.
-
Clarence, Sammy the Fish, Neil, Kevin, Roberts, and likely Amy Coney Island are likely to disagree.
Clarence, particularly, doesn’t think black voters should have any rights.
Clarence is still busy burning all those ladders that he used to climb up to the Supremes. Gotta keep Harlan Crowe happy.
-
Yessss
-
📌
-
Somebody, please look down here at Florida!
-
-
Wait for SCOTUS
-
Yipee! Thank you federal appeals court!
-
YES!
