Oh shit, I almost participated to the Toxic Yuri jam. So glad I dropped that project because, knowing the subject matter of the story I had in mind it would have probably been removed too :( You should normally be able to find all the submissions in the event’s Discord, but this is still fucked up.
Were they deindexed, or are they only shown when searched for? If they were deindexed, they wouldn't show up in the search results at all
I definitely saw plenty of people saying "they're going to come after the LGBT+ stuff (because they always do)", but this is the first specific example I've seen.
I wonder if some of this is because any itchio account with even ONE nsfw game on it gets marked as "adult" by default... hmmm... disappointing regardless

One of my favorite entries, Rainjoke, was completely removed because it had the incest tag. One of the characters was victimized by their family, which informs why they behave the way they do and the tag was used to warn anyone who might be sensitive to the topic
i very much see a trend in these sorts of sweeps where they disproportionately target women and other minority genders (aka anyone they see as "women") experiencing attraction or sexual desire. to see this as anything other than the right-wing oppression of "female" desire is naive.
