It seemed there were some SFW games that, due to tags itch had decided were NSFW despite not really being so (like Monster Girl) ended up deindexed. Others the claim is that certain games were re-indexed in between the writing and publication of the article and now.
Which is just inherently a difficult thing to prove one way or the other, and just kinda comes down to do you believe one side or the other. Also there were books affected due to a glitch that was unclear.

makes sense thanks. I could easily believe that someone responsible for putting together the list of tags to deindex got overzealous because of their own biases and itch is running cover for that because internally they think it was a reasonable mistake and that they don't deserve the criticism
