it was a HATE CRIME because he is a gay Indigenous man.
Say those words. Do not dance around it. He wasn't "killed in a shooting." He was murdered in a hate crime.
His house was burnt down, his dog's skull was presented as a trophy, and his husband is going to take a LONG time to recover from this. This was NOT a "Oh he had an argument with a neighbor and it got heated", this was pure evil going on.
