Significant portions of Article I of the U.S. Constitution were removed from the version published on Congress’ official Constitution website. Large parts of Section 8(which outlines the powers of Congress) were deleted, and Sections 9 and 10,
which place critical limits on federal and state power, were removed entirely. These sections include protections such as habeas corpus and the prohibition on the government granting titles of nobility. They claim this was done in error.

Yeah funny how just the parts that POTUS claims are his sole powers and not Congress's are the bits that were removed. Color me skeptical... Oh and don't forget to ask about the Epstein files and when they will be released unredacted with the exception of the victims information. They've had enough.

🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 Error my ass!

-
no error, nope its been in place for a while and coincidences dont exist
-
Amazing that people who pretend that a pocketcopy is necessary for all occasions and that they are well versed in literal, fundamentalist exegesis of bible verses (especially OT) would not have noticed the textual abnormalities.
-
I thought I read that Trump's Bible Constitution is missing numerous amendments, as well.
-
I have been thinking this phrase a lot the last few days… “Pardonf*ck?”
-
They think their MAGA lemmings wouldn't know these parts were missing.
-
-
Wondering if they used AI to scrub websites that don’t agree with our current administrations views not knowing it would delete parts of the constitution. Perhaps other websites suffered the same fate.
-
i'd call that a treason....
-
"error" ??
We have better chances of seeing a Tyrannosaurus Rex cross the street tomorrow morning....
-
Were the words crossed out with a Sharpie?
-
Is Trump going to create a nobility in the US? I can see him waving a sword around, creating Dukes and Earls. Hereditary Princess for Ivanka, and Eric gets a lifetime Baronetcy.
-
You mean #AccidentallyOnPurpose
-
An error? Why was anything touched in the first place? There's no 'error' to be had.
-
🤯
-
Attempting to rewrite the Constitution and omit sections they don't like is what dictators do! When caught they claim it was in error is unbelievable!

You can go here to find the alternative to the government website.

Someone should really point out to the Fascist Party of America (formally the GOP) that you cannot make changes to the Constitution without a 2/3 majority approval vote. But then, that goes against their basic premise of aggressively destroying our democracy in favor of criminal enterprise.
-
That was a deliberate piece of vandalism by someone. Unnecessary changes were made to the site by someone, and they had to have checked their results.
-
This bodes well 😑
-
Lucky for us they were written before the internets which the regime may be shocked to discover.
-
Are they going to delete these from the National Archives next?
-
This is worse than I thought. It’s time to start paying close attention. Trump demented mind thinks he,lol be president until death does he part with the title. Imagine that😵💫

Oopsie… Bullshit
-
Hysterical (by which I mean terrifying) that they assume we would not notice.
-
When you see wrong and evil triumphing over good and right, you must be ready to fight.
When all about you is falling apart, all you can do is fight.
When your constitution is being trampled under foot, you must fight with all you have.
-
Seems complete (again) to me. I mean, how fucking childish?! Do those ghouls think pressing DEL makes stuff fascists don't like go away?

-
Honestly, it was there when I looked after I saw a post about this.
-
Sorry not buying any bridges.
-
Sure and we all believe that
-
Do they think we won't notice? I mean, it's not like the regime is actually using those parts of the document, so they just got rid of them to save some space, I'm sure.
-
“Error”
-
The site looks shady. For one thing, they “updated it in plain English.” What the actual F?
-
This is terrifying
-
Did they really think that on-line version was the only version available?
-
Looks like they have fixed those omissions now.

@altnps.bsky.social You forgot to credit Aaron Parnas for this story, which was posted hours earlier. @aaronparnas.bsky.social
NEWS: Constitution Sections on Due Process and Foreign Gifts Quietly Removed From Government Website
This is a major story that more media sites need to cover.
-
I don’t trust these fascists as far as I could throw them.
-
All those sections are there at your link now.
-
Yeah right. 'Error'. And the Moon's out tap dancing on the Potomac.
-
King trump at it again
-
Glad someone was in the forest to hear the tree fall.
-
Following that link and comparing it to a printed copy of the Constitution that I've had on hand since 2016 (coincidence!) I don't see any difference. It may have been a glitch, or I may be looking at a cached copy (I did clear my browser cache).
That certainly got my heart started, though.
-
This is a test to see if we'd notice as they attempt to rewrite the Constitution. Stay vigilant.
-
So 45 is finally discovering what is in the document he swore to uphold. 🤯 He must be very disappointed. I hope this inspires all government employees to actually read the Constitution.
