If Jadzia Dax got a hold of the One Ring, would she get corrupted, Dax get corrupted, or both?
If a Borg drone got a hold of the One Ring, would it be prevented from being corrupted due to a lack of autonomy, or would the entire Collective get corrupted at once?

I think (legitimately) this depends on whether entering the wraith realm disconnects it from the collective.

The Borg would be compelled to give the Ring to the Queen, and the full corruption would go from there.

hmmm, maybe each drone would start tearing metal and crystals out of their alcove to forge their own ring? a collective of rings for a collective of drones?

If they succeeded, the Borg would be both more and less scary. More because they would possess the power of the One Ring; less because they'd change their battle cry to, "Resistance is futile, my precious."

Lag time seems high. One Ring's corruption reactivates some local individual identity in the drone for an attack surface. Enough for the collective to drop that drone like a hot potato.
Now, if they find it curious it didn't get obliterated with the drone, bring it to a queen... Goodbye, Galaxy?

I guess the drones would be easily corrupted, but once the Queen resisted, the rest might be re-aquired into the Collective.
