Nobody is beyond redemption but I genuinely do not understand how you can carry on an affair with someone you are covering as a journalist, fail to disclose it, get exposed, and then get another job.

If it had been after the election or a one off night where people made bad choices and they immediately reported it to their editors, or whatever, maybe, but I wouldn't trust someone who could carry on a months long secret affair that managed to violate basic ethics in their personal & prof lives
