The officer's conduct violated a constitutional right. The right was "clearly established" at the time of the violation, meaning a reasonable officer would have known that their conduct was unlawful. Hard to have qualified immunity with video evidence.
And yet here we are “celebrating” that Breonna Taylor’s murderer was sentenced to 33 months in prison for “violating her constitutional rights” instead of the 1 day with credit for time served that was recommended by the DOJ. 🤷🏼♀️

And so the man assaulted does not deserve financial restitution? I am not celebrating anything. You must have me mistaken for someone else. I know the system is broken. And if financial restitution is the only means, at taxpayers' expense who elected these officials to serve justice, so be it.
