make sure you wait till [american] black nightshade pulls off the stem easily before you eat it even if its fully black . it tastes like gooseberry?/ground cherry ? but i havent had a ripe one yet and the unripe ones kinda burned/tingled. VERY prolific plant, it would be cool if more people grew it.
