i will die on the hill that the original Nazis were just as silly as our modern versions. Hitler based his plans for the invasion of Russia partly on cowboy novels written by a con-man.
The Nazis were huge into the occult and were high on meth all the time. There's no way that combination doesn't result in incredible silliness

I did know that first part, but I did not know, until 2 years ago, that Hitler was looking for the Holy Grail in the Austro-Hungarian Imperial treasury in Vienna.
I mean, the treasury was supposed to hold a piece of the True Cross and a few other relics, so it wasn't so farfetched. But still!
