If you think prohibiting people on SNAP from purchasing “junk food” is good, you’re clearly more interested in punishing poor & disabled people than you are in healthy living.
The rich can eat as much junk as they want, but the poor must cook for themselves or go hungry?
What ive always thought was suspect is why are junk foods from frozen dinners to chips to candy etc cheaper then produce, meat, pork, chicken...... People only use SNAP for 'junk foods' cause it makes their foodstamps go further...
Average SNAP balance for most is 70.00..... That can feed you for a cpl days if ya buy meat/produce or last a cpl weeks buying junk
