Imagine time travelling to a measles epidemic in the 1800’s and telling people that one day, thru the miracle of science and medicine, there’d be a vaccine to prevent it. And that by the year 2000 it would be declared eradicated!

Walk through any cemetery that’s been around more than 70 years. Look at all the graves of the young children and babies. Imagine the parents of those babies and what they would have given to have a vaccine available.

But then 25 yrs later people would choose to listen to court jesters and stop getting the vaccine. And so measles comes back. And the epidemic they were experiencing would return. Because of a court jester.
