Correct me if I’m wrong but didn’t the colonial power enter the occupied territory to protect Catholics from Protestant violence and quickly started killing civilians, most notably on one day when a civil rights protest was fired on by the colonial power army, with full impunity. Yes, just like IDF.

Yes. The original narrative according to the British government at the time was they were there to protect the catholics. They also said they were fired on first. In other news the russians invaded Ukraine to protect the russian speaking population. 🤔 I guess governments lie. Who knew
