my partner is paying for a bday holiday to amsterdam, any recommendations? staying in noord to avoid stag dos but will be elsewhere for museums &c. likes: vegetarian food, coffee, al fresco day drinking, parks, contemporary art, underground diy type spaces, things that don’t cost a million pounds
Haarlem is really nice to visit for a meander (2nd stop outside the city, west). And although it’s a tourist trap, it IS really worth it going to the Van Gogh museum & the Rijksmuseum. Make appts for early morning.
