TIL that in the Bay of Lübeck there was a floating concentration camp. The British didn’t believe it was a concentration camp and bombed it on the day Piotr Kiziejko died.

Remembering Piotr Koziejko. Arrived at Auschwitz at age 29, 2 months before his 30th birthday. He managed to live to be 34. He died 5 days before VE Day. May he rest in peace.
