I need cis Newsom stans to understand that "sacrifice yourself FOR DEMOCRACY," even if it were true (it's not- a country where trans people are illegal isn't a democracy) still isn't a sacrifice we're making. A country where trans people are banned doesn't deserve to exist. We won't help it to.

A country that won't fight for trans people doesn't deserve to exist. We won't sacrifice ourselves for your comfort. You either fight for us and get a candidate who supports our right to exist, or you get to come to the camps WITH US. Those are your options.

It's an oxymoron. Democracy requires all of us. It isn't the will of the majority, it is that far more difficult and precious thing, the collective & coherent will of The People as a whole. Throwing trans folx, immigrants, homeless people, or any other vulnerable group under the bus is a non-starter
