President Trump's tariffs will cut deficits by $3 trillion over the next decade, $1 trillion less than previously forecast, the Congressional Budget Office said today.

Sounds like the CBO miscalculated the fact that as the tariffs were imposed domestic demand would contract, especially early. (Importers were forewarned and stocked up before the imposition.) But a 25% error is rather large, even for the CBO which is in a business (of prediction) prone to error.
