Every day is filled with the promise and possibility that it will be his last day on Earth.
As an Atheist I say Christians, Jews, Muslims, Zoroastrians, Rastafrians where is thy god? I mean is it really so much to ask?

I think according to most faiths, God isn't supposed to intervene after the ancient times of miracles when a system of rules was established for earthly life. Rewards, compensation, or punishment would be in the afterlife or not at all, varying by the system of faith.
