The most interesting fact about Hulk Hogan is that as a kid in France, Andre the Giant sometimes got driven to school by playwright Samuel Beckett

I spent years of my life studying Beckett, but didn’t discover wrestling until 2023. What a beautiful bit of history to learn tonight.
-
The Quantum Leap Guy? I thought he had to leap in bodies similar to his size? I guess kid Andre was the size of adult Sam.
In all seriousness, I thought this was some weird obscure internet joke that uncool kids like me wouldn't get.
But this was real (kind of).

This is my favorite HH fun fact.
-
Andre the Giant once picked my little sister up. It was scary! Dad took us to a wrestling match!?? Later, George Chavallo pierced her ears! (He just lived down the street from us) You'd think an adult might ask the mother if it was okay to do that!!
-
I love that about him!

😮
-
Damn. That is interesting.
-
That’s a weird coincidence as my most interesting fact about Hogan is that Big Daddy’s real name was in fact Shirley Crabtree.
-
In a world of Hulk Hogans, be an Andre the Giant.
-
From all accounts Andre was a wonderful person who hated Hulk Hogan.
-
Are you serious? Samuel Beckett??? 😳😳😳
-
My favorite Hulk Hogan fact is that Mick Foley donates a lot of time and money to RAINN, and even has volunteered to work their hotlines on multiple occasions. No clout, no desire for recognition, just a desire to help.
The Dude Abides.
-
RIP Ozzy.
-
Now I can't stop picturing André the Giant in "Not I".
-
I also really like the Hulk Hogan story about how Andre the Giant never let anyone pay for his dinner, since he felt guilty about someone else paying for how much he would drink. He wouldn't even let Schwarzenegger pay for dinner while they were filming Conan the Destroyer.
-
Andre the Giant was such a kind man, from what I’ve read.
-
Ok. But what about Warren Zebon studying classical music with Igor Stravinsky in Fresno, California?
-
You have to love France. Its not optional
-
If I remember correctly Beckett had a convertible, so Andre could more comfortably ride in his car than others.
-
My favorite Hulk Hogan story is how on the set of The Princess Bride, Andre the Giant would help Robin Wright stay warm by placing his huge hand over the top of her head.
-
Beautiful soul. He was a kind person a real person! I loved Andre’.
-
The sad part with Andre was they could have saved his life with a simple procedure to remove a gland. However he worried it would have cost him his size and he refused.
-
I didn’t know Hogan was also a union buster.

My favorite Hulk Hokan fact is that he's fucking dead

My favorite Hulk Hogan movie is The Princess Bride.

Hulk Hogan Wondering Why Heaven is Engulfed in Flames, Smelling of Sulfur, and Surrounded By the Endless Tortured Screams of the Damned
Legendary professional wrestler, adulterer, and noted racist Hulk Hogan admitted he was confused as to why heaven seemed so much hotter than he imagined.

Respectfully disagree. While the Andre bit is interesting, I would say that the MOST interesting fact about Hulk Hogan is that Donald Trump is a pedophile who is mentioned numerous times in the Epstein files.
-
I had shrimp for dinner.
-
According to Hulk Hogan, he pinned Beckett in Madison Square Garden to take the championship. Andre the Giant was in the crowd as a child and took up wrestling because of it.
Pretty sure that's true.
-
Bravo!

Here's another equally awesome story from Canada...
-
Ladies and gentlemen--Killer Kowalski. Vegetarisn who attended Canada's Royal Military College and later University of Detroit. Studied electrical engineering. Ripping the ear off an opponent was unfortunate.
-
I read the absolutely massive biography of James Joyce and the only thing I can remember is the time Samuel Beckett got stabbed by a pimp. Is Beckett the most interesting person that ever happened?
-
Hulk Hogan hell is Andre the Giant heaven. It's an efficient system.
-
The second most interesting thing is that Trump is in the Epstein files.
-
(Jokes aside, is that actually true about Andre?!)
-
The most interesting Hulk Hogan story was The Incredible Hulk #180 and #181 back in 1974 when Wolverine was introduced.
Seriously I moved to Minnesota when I was 5 and had family here that watched the AWA and when they talked about The Hulk I thought it was the TV show.
-
I don’t care that he’s dead. I didn’t care that he was alive. 🥱
-
This is still true today.
-
I played Beckett off-Broadway in “Sam and Dede; or, My Dinner with Andre the Giant” in 2017.
-
Oddly enough, I have the perfect crossover image for this.
-
He also spent an entire Japanese tour sitting in the rear of a tour bus bouncing beer cans off the back of hogans head
-
that's the most redeeming thing I've ever read about h. hogan/hulk h.
-
Andre getting in the car. "Late. nothing to do but wait." Beckett: "The tears of the world are a constant quantity."
-
There would be no French New Wave without Hulk Hogan's grip around the throat of Jean-Luc Godard.
-
My favorite biography detail. I wrote a whole short poem about that
-
And of course trump is in the Epstein Files
-
My favorite fact about Hulk Hogan is The Sunset Limited by Cormac McCarthy.
-
-
I love that Wallace Shawn apparently has a problem with heights and Andre was comforting him while doing the climbing scene in Princess Bride
-
RIP HULK HOGAN

Did you ever watch the British comedy documentary show Urban Myths that did this one? It's very good! m.youtube.com/watch?v=WT7t...
