  1. We do have socialism, but we can't call it that because too many Americans equate it to communism. The US Army is a national force that supplants having 50 individual armies. Just don't let that secret out.

  2. Ironically some of the supporters have no power, but are deceived into thinking they do because they are ranked above somebody else.

  3. I'm not afraid of socialism, I'm afraid of socialists.

As a political theory, it's a great idea. Implementing it in anything other than a small, closed society is futile.

  4. Since DT is trying his level best to interfere with business, and universities as well, hmmmm what the word for govt takeover of private entities? Maybe they’re not so scared of socialism!

  5. The sad part is that our society is not zero sum. My gay marriage does not affect your straight marriage. My Medicare doesn't affect your health insurance. Fact: Medicare contributions are Medicare part A. We only pay part B after 65. Feeding school kids are local ballot issue. We pay into SS.

  6. Because our govt has always taught us to hate communism/socialism and it's almost always in association with authoritarian govt (USSR, Red China, Cuba)

I try to remind people that capitalism & socialism are economic systems, not forms of govt. Either can exist in an authoritarian or democratic govt

  7. Thanks for the explanation. This question has been confusing me for a long time. As a Canadian, socialism is not a bad word. it's basically a good thing. Because we care about people, especially those who have less. Racism has poisoned America. Too many people filled with hate for their fellow man

  8. I'll never understand it. You see the same thought process in children, but they eventually realize that it's best for everyone to prosper. How this mentality persists into your 80s is just beyond me; other than it being weakness. Holding others down to lift yourself up is bitch shit.

  9. Come on. Let’s just say it straight up.

“It’s a fact, 70% of white Americans are as racist as where the German Nazis”. It’s their cultural dna. It’s who they are.

My question is, “why do so many Americans on the right side of humanity wonder why they prefer fascism”? It’s who they are, period.

  10. Honestly, the answer is even more simple than that:

they just 100% in no way understand what either of the words mean.

That's it. The racism just helps keep them willingly ignorant of their meanings, IMO.

  11. This is propaganda. It’s not about racism. Never was. That’s just there to divide us. It’s about socio-economic status of any race. It’s about class warfare, period. Oligarchs do not care what color you are as long as they’re sucking the money and life out of your bones.

  12. That ‘American Exceptionalism’ doesn’t work out well on the individual basis. Collectively, America could be exceptional, raising all the populace, and the world, to a higher level of living. Individually, it becomes an excersize in oppression and exploitation, driven by greed, fear and hate.
