Either this will be done with Schumer’s blessing or Schumer can’t keep control of Senate Democrats.
Either way, it’s clear he cannot lead and should retire. And retire immediately if the Dems cave in and only get a “promise” of a vote on the ACA credits sometime in. December.

He won’t retire immediately but I don’t see how he runs in 2028. He’ll be 78 and the party has moved beyond his leadership (and he was never that good at it). I anticipate AOC will primary him if he tries.
