Last week, people whom I know and respect, and who are anti-Trump: "Yeah, Trump will do some bad things and symbolic stuff in D.C.--but he can't actually take over the D.C. Police Department. That would be crazy."
Today, Trump: I'm taking over the DC Police Department.
