And now for some sad, sad news. Last night, on the same day we brought Bucky home, we took Luna to the vet and found out she had a few large masses in her abdomen and chances of survival even with emergency surgery are low. So we've made the painful decision to say goodbye later this week. 1/3

She's been our sweet baby girl for 10 years now. She was our first rescue from the same shelter where we got Brisco and Bucky. She would have been considered "unadoptable" at other shelters due to her trauma and fear of everything. She was found tied up under a mobile home and VERY pregnant. 2/3

  1. 3/3 The shelter director spent 7 months rehabilitating her and getting her to trust humans again. For 10 years, she's been the heart & soul of our family. She's been here for all of the "boys" from Hondo to Augie and Brisco and now Bucky - and letting her go is breaking our hearts. We love you, Lu.
