it is however true, if you have your stuff with any American company it doesn't matter what your local laws say, the cloud act says the U.S can take it if they want, and since your provider is in the U.S too bad. Lesson - non U.S data storage is necessary.
That’s not it. Even with an EU cloud storage location, a Cie that has HQ’s in the US is subject to the same law. MS, Google, AWS and others should be forced to create a local company with HQ’s in EU to start with. That would buy some time.

I didn't say anything about the data being stored in the U.S. The Cloud law is quite explicit that the American government can demand data stored in a different country if the company running the data storage is American.
