  1. Call me anal retentive, but I used to have this weird quirk where I’d TEST my programs before releasing them into production. I guess I wasn’t as efficient as the DOGE bros.

  2. 📌 pinning this so I can show it to my software dev husband later on to remind him that, no matter how he feels about his projects, he's not a cunt who helped destroy the nation.

  3. Wow, total busy work to make it look like DOGE was doing something. The whole script could be replaced with just a random number generator and it would have worked just as well: if lucky, not munchable; if unlucky, munch away. These people put absolutely no thought or effort into their job.

  4. This is why Bernie Sanders' support for DOGE needs attention.

If Bernie Sanders hates oligarchs, why is he ok with the one who bought our government?

  5. Fantastic reporting. It’s possible I missed it reading on the small screen, but do you know what model was used?

  6. Wow. Vibe-coding over a dataset you don't fully understand, without tests or validation. Or, it appears, peer-review.

Was there any actual source code written as part of this tool, or was it merely a set of prompts?

  7. 2/ First, the DOGE AI tool produced glaring mistakes.

It often hallucinated the size of contracts, inflating their value. It concluded more than a thousand were each worth $34 million, when in fact some were for as little as $35,000.

A table of rows from our analysis of the DOGE AI produced list of contracts to cancel. The table shows the “AI total value” column, all valued at “$34 Million” and an “actual potential value” column with values ranging from $35k to $48k.

  8. Using AI code that has already been proven flawed to play with (let’s be honest, shorten the lives of veterans) is so f*cking evil.

  9. When I worked for the government, the Biden-era OMB guidance on AI seemed overly restrictive in terms of process and review. It's as if they didn't want anyone using AI. I hated it. Your reporting shows what they were concerned about: Clowns who have no idea what they're doing screwing over people.
