I have written to Nigel Farage in response to his visit to my constituency of Bicester and Woodstock today.

Presumably, from your letter/email he hadn't at least notified you of his holding a big event in your constituency? Is that no longer a done thing?
-
Good luck but he is probably already half way to the US by now ready to blow smoke up the arse of the Orange Dictator.

Well played, sir, but I fear you might as well have talked to the cows in the field for all the good that it will do. Farage doesn't care a damn about his own constituents so, with all respect, he's hardly going to take any notice of yours.
-
Excellent letter. Thank you. We need more of these powerful push backs.
-
Hear, hear! Thank you Calum. Iโm a resident of your constituency and agree wholeheartedly with your points. We must never give in to these racists and blow-hards.
-
I wouldnโt hold your breath
-
I like your spirit and commitment, but with him, it's a waste of time. He obviously doesn't care about anything but his own self aggrandisement. Anyone but a foil can see that. But o, there are so many fools in this country.
-
That is as cold as ice. Starting off with โno costed plan.โ Heartless.
-
Can complaints be made about Nigel working anywhere BUT the constituency he is supposed to be representing?
-

-
Well done Callum. Letโs make it difficult for him to visit other areas
-
Oh wow, a strongly worded letter, that will show him.
-
Excellent letter . Decent people must stick together .

Disingenuous.
The cost of asylum is bankrupting us - deportation and detention will save money
Asylum hotels are creating misery nationwide, detention centres minimise the impact
Deterrence is urgently required.
None of the high growth businesses in Oxfordshire rely on low skill asylum seekers
-
This letter is polite and dignified. I would have started in a much more "Peter Cook-esque" style and continued in the same vein.
-
Very well written response!
-
Well put sir. ๐๐๐
-
Bravo ๐
-
Good letter but youโre wasting your time. He is only interested in generating headlines. Facts are a foreign land to him and we know how he dislikes things foreign. Except oddly wives and girlfriends.
-
Thanks Calum. Can you get your leader a backbone like yours and maybe start to articulate the arguments like you do so well here
-
Perhaps the 72 Lib Dem MPs could take it in turns to hold big rallies in Clacton on Sea, say weekly or even daily, and invite the local MP (short notice). Might pin them to their constituency. Stunts optional.

๐ Rafael Behr in Guardian today:
โStarmer is stranded in a strategic cul-de-sac, managing a stagnant economy. He struggles to address the frustration and dismay of a demoralised electorate, while the principal author of their predicament rehearses the remake.โ

Wish we'd known he was here. Over the border in Chippy/Banbury we had to put up with JD Vance and he wasn't polite enough to ask permission either.
-
Ah well, heโs not interested in thatโฆ
-
Good for you.
-
Excellent!
-
Mooooooorrrrrreeeee

Having only one ball is not the only thing Farage has in common with Hitler, so it's no surprise that his solution to the instability that led to huge numbers of people fleeing warfare is to set up concentration camps and revoke human rights.
-
Hurrah! Well said, sir!
-
I absolutely refuse to believe that the majority of British voters think sending women & children asylum seekers to their potential deaths is a good idea. People want immigration numbers controlled but this is not Trumpโs America. We are better than that. Period (as Farage says)..
-
More of this kind of thing ๐
-
There is an elephant in the room here; one with precedents. Farage is clearly stirring the pot & offering vague proposals without substance. But what he hasn't done (& what other parties are frantically trying to back-pedal on) is "lost the dressing room". UK Politicians have created a ticking bomb๐
-
Sadly he has no interest in engaging in good faith.
Churchill also understood fascists need to be fought everywhere, until they are no more, thereโs a well known speech he made about itโฆ
-
-
Well said.
-
Money, money, money.
Try morality
-
Well done
-
You are assuming he can read!
-
Too civilised by half, but well done for at least taking him on.
-
I mean, he's probably slowly setting a record for the MP who's spent more time in any constituency other than his own by now....
-
Well said ๐๐ป
-
Thank you for holding Nigel Farage to account, when so many donโt seem to try - and thanks also to the Bishop of Oxford for his eloquent open letter too. Well worth reading.

An open letter to Nigel Farage - Bishop Steven's Blog
Bishop Steven writes an open letter in response to Nigel Farage MP's immigration policy which was launched in Oxford this week.
-
Well said Callum, the sooner the likes of Farage are called out the better. Keep up the good work.
-
Well done, Calum.
