Correct. Not tax dollars. It’ll be a not so silent auction to curry favor with Dear Leader. Part of the “People’s House” will be owned by the Saudis and tech (and likely Russian) oligarchs. It’s on par with his meme coin and private jet, we all pay in the end.

Because his donors are depraved, materialistic assholes, too. They could be feeding and housing children with that money, or paying to build or renovate schools, or paying off people's medical bills, but no. Another playspace for the rich and famous. Birds of a feather. Not impressed.
