  1. Good. Indiana residents have had their heads in the sand, especially in rural areas. People need to hear the truth about what's happening in the economy as a direct result of their president's actions.

  2. Most bankrupts end up that way not because they were unlucky but because their management strategy was flawed. It’s a systemic issue.

@cnbc.com parades very experienced wall st folks, including Joe Kernen, who just let Trump go off the rails because they like him. Which is stupid.

  3. It's the copper tariff that's interesting. Just Presidential chaos? Or, market manipulation on both the up and down side.

  4. I gotta laugh at these kinds of headlines and articles. The First Felon has been talking about doing this for 10 friggin' years! He DOESN'T CARE! This is all about him and his revenge against all enemies foreign and domestic.Billionaires don't care if food prices, cars, houses go up 20%, they DON'T!

  5. People will stop buying things. Corporate earnings will fall. The stock market will decline. People will get laid off (but the Jobs Reports won't reflect it). Businesses will close. House foreclosures will increase. Cars will be repossessed. Medical treatment will be too expensive. People will die.

  6. I wonder how bad things must get before the Republicans decide it is time to get him out of office? Will they choose impeachment, the 25th amendment, or something else?

  7. Bought groceries today for a meal that I cook regularly. I went back and looked at the receipt from.the last time I made it in January. It was 50% more this time around. Like every single item on the list was 30-60% higher, which of course also made the sales tax higher. 😑

  8. I’m from the Indy area. I’m a teacher and try to stay up on the news. This newspaper has almost no relevance even in our area. Nobody reads it, that I can tell. 😒

  9. He is either too stupid or just doesn't care. These tariffs hurt Americans. If he doesn't carethen he is unfit. If he is too stupid he is unfit. Either way he is UNFIT

  10. To be fair, Indy is a very blue city in a very red state. …..those of you saying Indianapolis voted for that

  11. Everything is more expensive now & if prices raise more lots of people in Indiana won't survive it. But sure let's let Trump build his $200 million "golden ballroom" at the WH.

  14. Random observations: this story doesn’t seem to be on The Star’ or USA Today’s sites.

The Star was a shit paper before Gannett bought it. They’ve done nothing to improve it.

Trying to buy the paper at retail is difficult. Outlets receive papers seemingly randomly.

  15. If there isn't any bad news, we'll anticipate some and try to scare people to death with it. If it comes true, and it really hurts the US and reflects badly on Trump, we will rejoice. Cause we hate Trump and destroying him is NO1, no matter how it affects the country.

  16. During GenCon, a board game convention in Indianapolis, which has been ravaged by the BS tariff whims of an incompetent set of morons in charge of government who change the definition of economic terms because they’re bad at economics and governance.

  18. Keeping in mind 90% of what Americans buy is useless junk and can be done without.

Heaven help Big Business when the country shifts from spending like drunken sailors to impress the various Joneses next door to being thrifty b/c they don't give a shit any more

  19. The Indianapolis Star?

This headline needs to be #1 on YouTube and tick tok for a week straight to have any relevance.

    Otherwise, this is meaningless.

Major companies with CEO’s who are getting massive tax cuts announced they will be raising prices of their products because of tariffs! The trump tax cuts just won’t cover the cost of the tariffs! In other words, trump is screwing you and so are we!

Unfortunately the Fox News crowd never gets even remotely unbiased reporting on tariffs, revenge firings, presidential felonies, fact checking….

  24. That’s surprising. That’s my city and we are usually the last to post anything anti-Trump. Mike Braun is so far up Trump’s ass he might as well be a hemorrhoid.

Trump's #SellershipSociety is starting off worse.

What do Republicans stand for besides #TaxCutsForTheRich?
