Trump embraced cryptocurrency, data centers and all that tech bro stuff that are incredible energy hogs. Then he removed the subsides that were fueling renewables, put a tax on them and tax breaks for fossil fuels. The problem is, only renewables can be expanded fast enough to keep up with demand.
