For starters, looks like there isn't a "both [S Korean] political parties." 3rd-place party got over 8% in the 2025 presidential; 4 have seats.
Reasonable multiparty democracy (like Germany) would have nipped the Trump movement in the bud. But first past the post means we can't really get there.
