Taxpayers shouldn’t be “on the hook.” Any federal or state contracting officer who issued a contract prior to NEPA & other environmental compliances being complete should be on the hook for that money PERSONALLY. That’s what the law says should happen.
If that happened, there would be less of this.
DeSantis, who can't seem to do anything about insurance problems in FL, freelanced this shit with FL taxpayer money, and had it up and running in two weeks flat. He's term limited out in '26 and very worried about his future prospects. This project gave him new hope. He'll reopen it elsewhere.
