Agreed @MikeNellis.bsky.social. And the reaction from the right was also ugly/bigoted, blaming brown & black immigrants b4 we knew anything. But BOTH SIDES politicize mass shootings. Too many of my fellow Democrats instantly tried to score their anti-gun political points b4 we knew anything.

Exactly. Dude bought an Ar-15 in Vegas and drove to NY to use it. The problem isn't anything more complex than the fact he could buy an AR-15 IN THE FUCKING FIRST PLACE.
