kinda agree but also as a scientist most of the AI stuff i see these days isnt really scientific. just "sciency" in a superficial sense. i think it appeals more to people who are like "this is a fact because science!" rather than people who see science as a process of inquiry

It would almost be understandable if they just really thought the world should be a certain way for practical reason. Weird, but I can comprehend it.
Instead, it’s just ego. It’s bitter people pissed off that they don’t get the adoration they so obviously deserve from society.
