“gavin newsom is the only dem attacking this fascism”
firstly, i don’t know how much he’s really doing. secondly, have you considered why that might be? have you considered that the democrats have literally held back any other opposition to give newsom a free run, literally stifling opposition?
Other than the redistricting, all I see is the Twitter trolling. Remember, Fetterman used trolling to help win his election and look at how he turned out. As others have said, Newsom is not an ally or progressive. He's a nasty conservative in a liberal-centrist suit.
He's only attacking fascism in twitter posts & interviews. IF & WHEN he orders the national guard to detain ICE agents or escort the marines out of LA instead of just using it as an excuse to yell into a camera about it, THEN I'll believe he's "fighting" fascism.
Still never gonna vote for him tho.
Newsome has already thrown trans people and palestinians under the bus so he'll never have my vote. But if he gets around to making good on his promise to redistrict California, ok good
