Learned today that Grace Jones’ impossible/clearly wonderful pose on the cover of 1985’s “Island Life” was originally printed in a 1977 issue of New York magazine, for which Jean-Paul Goude shot her over & over again before manually cut-and-pasting parts of them together to create the finished art.
