we need to reach that 10% mark. π€
She is so cool and pretty
Clicky and Joanca have an ideal relationship too. Their relationship is built on a mutual love for hamburgers!
Heard people criticize it as being weird and hamfisted. But I think that's part of why it's aged so well. The transgender aspects of the narrative didn't really focus that much on Joanca as a trans woman, but more on just how fucked and pitiful the transphobia itself is.
Whoaaa this is SO COOL! love seeing stuff like this in older anime! I had no idea about this show! π₯³π₯³π₯³π₯³π₯³π³οΈββ§οΈπ³οΈβπ
Honestly... 10% trans population seems plausible to me if everyone was safe to discover and come out.
One of my favorite bits of trivia regarding these characters: both actors would go on to play beloved queer characters in Sailor Moon. Masako Katsuki (Joanca) played Sailor Neptune, and Keiichi Nanba (Clicky) played Zoisite
some dubious body hygiene western 40yo weeb: anime didn't have any of this lgbt bs before! the Woke ruined everything! πππ
Dirty Pair in 1985:
"Joanca with machine gun" is my personal vibes goals.
Maybe they'll release the series KS after (checks) four years now
Shit if I were him I'd fall for her too.
Gosh. Badass, clocky girls are so hot
I mean... It's a great message and shows how long acceptance has been around
They should be on a pride poster.
