Today we were denied entry to an ICE facility in Baltimore where were exercising our oversight role as Members of Congress. The law is clear: ICE is REQUIRED to let us into these facilities.

They just don't want the American people to see what's happening behind closed doors.

Obviously, Congress needs its own police force that has the power to legally break into ICE faciliies.

Wouldn’t Congress’ police force be the Capitol Police? The force that protected lawmakers on Jan 6. I think question would be whether their jurisdiction extends beyond the Hill. If not, ostensibly the Natl Guard is under the purview of the governor. Didn’t work that way in Cali, but try, try again.
