Protected bike lanes should be big enough for ambulances to use
And/or there should be a bus lane to provide the same function. Between bus and bike networks we should have comprehensive networks of “emergency lanes”

The advantage of the bike lane system is that bikes can easily get out of the way - this is not to say that dedicated bus lanes aren’t also a good thing
