Gun proliferation is exacerbated by how easy it is to break into gun shops and automobiles with little consequence. This happens over and over and those shops stay open and those who keep guns in their cars see no consequence. Insurance companies pay the loses and continue to insure.

Been to many gun shows in Texas.
It's unreal how many people have to be taught proper gun ownership (as adults).
It's surreal how frequently people will ignore recommendations, even from the police who are demonstrating safe use, care, and duty.
No respect for guns is dangerous.
