60 years ago today, Democratic President LBJ signed into law Medicare and Medicaid to help millions of Americans get the healthcare they’ve earned and need. [1/2]

  1. As a Brit I am always amazed by how underappreciated LBJ was. And like several other great leaders, his reputation will forever be destroyed by a disastrous war.

  2. Now, Donald Trump and Washington Republicans are ripping healthcare away from millions to pay for tax giveaways to the ultra rich—all while lying to people about what they're actually doing.

    It's pathetic. [2/2]

  3. PLEASE STOP IMPOSING SCHOOL AND PROPERTY TAXES ON THE ELDERLY, we want to live comfortably and with peace of mind not worrying of losing our home. It's a form of elder abuse. Stop.

  4. LBJ signed Medicare & Medicaid into law. Can ANYONE name any law or presidential order that Trump has signed during his presidency that was solely for the benefit of Americans. I don't mean when Trump SAYS it's for Americans but on close review is actually for us, without an underlying scheme.
