14 y.o. can marry in several states, including my home state of S.C. The legal marriage age once varied widely, from none to 13 (GA) to 15 (FL, HI) to 16 (most) to 18 (CA), the average legal marriage age is now 16, but exceptions exist in many, if not most, states that allow younger kids to marry.
