this is from back in May, but while youre calling your representatives about the SCREEN act and KOSA, its worth including a mention about the 'Interstate Obscenity Definition Act' (IODA).

remember, you dont need to go into great detail, you just need to be another tally of citizens saying "no"

This bill would criminalize pornography by legally redefining what it means to be obscene.

Period. Full stop. No more porn legally. If you post porn whether free pics or paid vids. this affects you!

  1. whether a bill is up for vote or not, or even if it doesnt seem likely based on performance of past versions of the bill, its worth inundating your reps with as many opinions as possible declaring support for NSFW content and against censorship/criminalization of "obscene" material

  2. They have no idea what they're doing. Without porn, the sexually frustrated will take to the streets and take their frustrations out on the world. And the hypocrisy - I bet anything that these fucking politicians have 100 TBs of porn saved at home

  3. I think Mike Lee is the dude behind every single one of the censorship bills that we've had to protest in the last few years. I hope the people of Utah replace him soon, he can't keep doing this.

  4. Called in on these today. For one senator I left a message, but the other had a nice lady who was a delight, even asked what KOSA as she hadn't heard of it, and agreed that the whole "Things that cause anxiety/depression" is just about anything these days.

If nothing else, calls can inform folks

  6. what i want to know is how they intend to actually enforce a law like this shoot everyone with pornhub in their history? turn every cornfield into a prison camp? the people in this country that look at porn range in the tens of millions surely, it's a completely absurd pipe dream to criminalize it

  7. is there a place where the bills along these lines are listed/kept track of where we can make sure we mention them when we call or write to reps? i don't wanna miss one if mentioning voting NO on all of them by name is important to the stats 😬
