We're not in theoretical "they could come after sfw queer content LATER" territory anymore. It is being used to come after sfw queer content NOW.

Spread this around, send the article to any and every news outlet/content creator you can think of. The alarms need to be sounded

And KEEP CALLING

  1. Okay trying to be not too hard on Itch anymore and all but this feels like something that's really stupid and short-sighted of them to not disclose and just let happen on their site after a bunch of people get screwed suddenly when people are mad at them already right?

  2. I'm honestly surprised anyone can go "They won't come for US."

Not after Tumblr pulled something similar and basically nuked their site into dust due to how shitty their detection/guidelines were.

  3. My games are essentially dead in the water in terms of exposure by itch.io itself, so it's not that bad if it potentially burns to the ground. :3

  4. Yep. Not long after I launched my game on Itch, this outside pressure kicked off and I've lost almost all visibility since. I had a week or so where I was actually getting impressions, now I have NOTHING besides the views I get from direct links. I'm deindexed solely because of the yuri tag.

We shouldn’t be surprised this would be their response.

Turn up the heat. Call them into the ground.
