This is just science fiction at this point. The society they are describing is no where near extant and most societies are moving away from it. When we need a united anti fascist front, “if we get our way we’re taking your bodega” is not a responsible message
I imagine you lose basically all of upper middle class and to some extent the middle class over this platform position.
Even my grandfather left his kids a modest amount each and he was a blue collar machine operator. I imagine that token value is enough to righteously piss off the avg MC voter

YIMBY. House construction everywhere. Means-tested financial support (ie loan guarantees*) and construction jobs for anyone who wants it.
This is going better than Govt take inheritance.
Not to mention the whole “abolish home ownership” nonsense. You want to lose 100,000,000 voters almost overnight and for a couple generations? Tell them home ownership is dead.
