Every few years, I randomly marathon hours upon hours of old Siskel and Ebert reviews.

The dialogue they had, while short and sometimes geared towards an efficient resolution, consistently feels more refreshing and enriching every new rewatch.

Audiences back then had a real treasure of a show.

  1. Maybe it's not all because of Siskel and Ebert. Maybe it's a ton of factors.

But it did feel like maybe. Just maybe. General audiences in the 90's liked movies as a medium a little more.
