  1. Iโ€™m hoping that the pace at which people fight back and the emboldened turn to pariahs is exponentially quicker.

  2. Not calling fools as "fools" was a big mistake. It's like not facing the reality that the "Emperor has no clothes".

When Bret Baier challenged Kamala Harris if she was calling MAGA voters as stupid, she should've said "yes" and explained why. Instead, she took the high-road and lost the election.

  3. Wow, that's so accurate!

Unfortunately, Dems have this bogus rule to never offend the voters. Bozo knew this "decency" weakness and exploited it.

I hope the next Dem candidate won't beat around the bush, but repeatedly explains to MAGA why they are fools fascinated by a fascist.

  4. A population of fools is a rich breeding ground for fascism. Having once spent a decade and a half living in the US, sadly what's happening now comes as no surprise at all.

  5. It's been building since the late 70s and the beginning of my voting life with Thatcher/Reagan and the elevation of corporate interests above those of people.

    Stealth fascism.

  6. Here in the UK we are a couple of pages behind in the twilight of the Weimar republic, we can treat them as normal political figures and fight them at the ballot box, section.

  7. Fascism starts like fasci-nate (the fools) and ends like criti-cism (of the intelligent).

Rising authoritarianism worldwide inspired me to write an allegorical trilogy on the perils of fascism, failed democracy & race-based subjugation. amazon.com/dp/B0B1JNBCTK?

  8. โ€œit is not possible to reason somebody out of the position they were not reasoned intoโ€

This applies to the MAGA cult both in the govt and on Main Street ..

Fascinating the fools is easy to accomplish when half of the USAโ€™s adults donโ€™t have a college or university degree.

  10. Trump is exiling kids undergoing cancer treatment because they are not white enoughโ€ฆand then will turn around and use TAXPAYER MONEY to charter a plane of white South Africans to grant them citizenship. He wants to start a race war. Republicans are in on it.

They offer the best tax breaks to the wealthy, spread hate and division among those who need it so bad, and circulate lies via shallow politicians and media.

  13. Where is SCOTUS? It is their #1 job to defend our U.S. Constitution! Their single most important job. Where are they? When the going gets rough, what do they do, take a nap?

  15. And there are plenty of fools in this country to fascinate not to mention the fact that these schools are so easy to fascinate. Our intelligentsia has been sacrificed on the altar of authoritarianism and I don't know that any who survived this will want to remain here. I don't blame them.

  19. โ€œThen, they muzzle the intelligentโ€, like law firms, medical professionals, media and universities?

Clever right wing ideologists and industrialists have harnessed fear about the economy, put a puppet in place, and are ready to pounce and profit.

  22. The first step in a fascist movement is the combination under an energetic leader of a number of men who possess more than the average share of leisure, brutality, and stupidity. The next step is to fascinate fools and muzzle the intelligent, by emotional excitement on the one hand and terrorism..

  26. Did you say anything about Bidenโ€™s & Harrisโ€™s enthusiastic support of Israelโ€™s racist & fascist programme in the Palestinian territories and in particular the ethnic cleansing of Gaza? Sympathy with the fascist cause started in the US before Trump returned!

  28. You might disagree George, but it's time that 'Death to Nazis' went from mantra to practice. Gotta get them before they get to us. These 'ICE agents' are the Nazi probe that needs to be made an example of....now.

  29. So in America, MAGA are the fools. Some of the intelligent are standing up (new media) but very few universities, law firms, captains of industry, etc.

  32. Thereโ€™s no way back now. Americans still donโ€™t realise ALL the checks and balances are now gone. Thatโ€™s it. America is now ruled by a dictator, and dictatorships tend not to switch back to democracies without blood.

  33. I wonder if Trump had never been on "The Apprentice" would he still have won? Seems like much of his MAGA base point to that show as proof of his business acumen.

  35. The biggest weapons that the fascists have this go around is the army of intimidation they can wield with a few words against someone innocent on social media.

Intimidate and defang that army and the fascists will retreat.

  36. I seldom disagree with you George but today, I do. If your referring the US, I think it has been a slow, and viewed from the outside, steady drip; I remember a guy called Bush 20 years back. Also, looking at how Fox News was invisioned in the 70s shows how the forces have been building.

  37. Hitler actually took just over three months. Trump is slower but then he has more systems and people to overcome. And he even started last year, by getting SCOTUS to approve assassination (or arrest) of political opponents.

Yes, it's scary. But it's not faster.
