Same-sex marriage enjoys much wider support among the public. It was a movement that Republicans occasionally played significant parts in— New York in 2011 and Obergefell being examples. There’s also federal statutory protections on the books. And it would be a very messy right to dismantle.

The disastrous polling on overturning Roe, pardoning J6 insurrectionists and cop beaters, pulling funding from Ukraine, sending the military into US streets, gutting Medicaid, etc did not stop him.
And his poll numbers are not great but better than his first term
in fact “just do it lol yolo” is ostensibly a front runner candidate for the mantra of this admin
