stancil is right that doubling the size of the house is kind of pointless. the malapportionment from the electoral college is because of its winner-take-all nature not the thing where a handful of small states have a couple extra EC votes. just eliminate the electoral college entirely.
I don't know if it's pointless so much as it doesn't really address the EC issue. It does potentially do lots of things to improve government responsiveness and accountability.

Yeah it doesn’t solve the crisis we’re in right now but it would help some broader problems.

I agree, I think smaller parties will have a chance, either existing parties or new. The benefits outside of the EC are immense. Uncap the MFing House!
